Pro Loc is built around an SPC — Stone Plastic Composite — core. Unlike standard LVT, which uses a flexible PVC base, SPC bonds limestone powder into the construction, creating a board that will not flex, bow, or expand with changes in temperature or humidity. The result is a floor that feels more substantial underfoot and installs without the dimensional anxiety that can come with other vinyl formats.
The 0.70mm wear layer is a commercial-grade specification applied to a residential product — the kind of durability margin that handles real family life with confidence. Clicks together with Unilin’s floating system, requires no adhesive, and can go straight down over most existing subfloors, including tiles.
And because the core is inherently waterproof throughout, Pro Loc is genuinely suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, and kitchens — not “suitable with precautions”, but suitable. One floor, every room.

The stone-plastic composite core gives Pro Loc a rigidity that standard LVT can’t match. There’s no flex underfoot, no movement at joints, and no sensitivity to the temperature swings that make kitchens and conservatories difficult for other flooring types.
An IXPE foam underlayer is pre-attached to every board, providing acoustic comfort and levelling minor subfloor imperfections without additional preparation — install straight over concrete, timber, or existing tiles that are firm and level.
