Precision in
every stave.

Brushed oak herringbone in a 90mm wide stave format — the Forma Collection is defined by clean geometry, refined palettes, and a confident contemporary sensibility.

Architectural Herringbone

The geometry of a floor, considered carefully.

The Forma Collection is built around a 90mm wide herringbone stave — wider than the Cumbrian range’s 70mm, which shifts the proportion slightly and gives the pattern a more substantial, architectural quality. Every board is brushed to open the grain before finishing, which means the texture reads clearly underfoot without relying on distressing or artificial ageing.

The finishing approach varies by colourway — white oil for Cathedral’s cool, faded character; natural oil for the warmth of Tawny Frost; a harder lacquer finish for Worn Oak’s contemporary matte. Each is a 15mm engineered construction on an HDF core, with a 4mm solid European oak wear layer that can be sanded and refinished as the floor ages.

Brushed Finish

The texture is the point.

Every board in the Forma Collection is brushed before finishing — a wire brush run along the grain to remove the soft early-wood and leave the harder late-wood proud. The result is a surface with real depth and texture that reads well at floor level and doesn’t flatten under light the way a smooth-sanded board can.

Combined with the herringbone pattern, the brushed surface catches the light differently across the room at different times of day — the geometry shifts as the light moves, which is something a plank floor simply can’t do.
